As more people decide to leave their cars and high gas costs behind, Sound Transit is increasing and fine-tuning its services to meet the growing demands. ST Express offers commuters fast, limited-stop service that spans the central Puget Sound, connecting cities and suburbs throughout the region. Since ST Express regional bus service started almost seven years ago, millions of riders have discovered and embraced easier commutes throughout the region. To accommodate these services and maintain efficient travel times of express buses, Sound Transit has built a network of new or expanded transit centers, park-and-ride lots and high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) direct access ramps.
